Technical Features of nVISION 6.5.1

  • Capnography TrendSense™ Memory Module: Processes end-tidal CO2 (EtCO2) and respiration rate data at 1 Hz sampling rate with 0.1% EtCO2 resolution, generating Capnography Respiration Reports for sleep and respiratory studies.
  • Device Compatibility: Supports all Nonin pulse oximeters with memory, including WristOx2® Model 3150 (1,080 hours of data at 1-second intervals), PalmSAT® 2500 Series, 7500 Series, and legacy 9600 Series, ensuring compatibility for extended sleep monitoring.
  • Communication Protocols: Utilizes USB 2.0 (480 Mbps) and Bluetooth® 2.1+EDR (921.6 kbps) for WristOx2® Model 3150, enabling rapid transfer of large 6MWT and sleep study datasets.
  • Data Parameters: Captures SpO2 (0-100%, ±2% accuracy), pulse rate (18-321 bpm, ±3 bpm accuracy), EtCO2 (0-150 mmHg, ±2 mmHg accuracy), and respiration rate (0-150 breaths/min, ±1 breath/min accuracy) with configurable sampling intervals (1, 2, or 4 seconds) optimized for sleep and exercise monitoring.
  • Customizable Data Visualization: Offers adjustable x-axis (time, up to 72 hours) and y-axis (SpO2, pulse rate, EtCO2, respiration rate) settings for Strip Chart, Full Study, and Sleep Reports, with zoom functionality and event marker annotations for desaturation, apnea, or hypopnea events.
  • Data Storage and Export: Stores up to 1,000 patient records (dependent on device memory) in a proprietary Nonin database format, with ASCII text export for integration with Microsoft Excel or electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Real-Time Monitoring Support: Streams real-time data at 1 Hz via USB or Bluetooth, displaying SpO2, pulse rate, and EtCO2 with minimal latency for live sleep or 6MWT monitoring.

Six Minute Walk Testing (6MWT) Capabilities

  • Detailed Metrics: Tracks SpO2, pulse rate, and distance walked during 6MWT, with automated calculation of baseline, minimum, and maximum SpO2, peak pulse rate, and recovery time post-test.
  • Customizable Reports: Generates 6MWT-specific reports with graphical and tabular data, including desaturation events (e.g., SpO2 < 88% for >5 seconds), total distance (meters), and time to recovery (SpO2 ≥ baseline).
  • Event Detection: Automatically identifies and flags exercise-induced desaturation events with user-defined thresholds, supporting assessment of exertional hypoxia in conditions like COPD or pulmonary hypertension.
  • Data Resolution: Records data at 1-second intervals for high-resolution analysis, capturing transient desaturations and pulse rate fluctuations during the test.
  • Comparative Analysis: Allows comparison of multiple 6MWT sessions for the same patient, displaying trends in exercise capacity and oxygen saturation over time.
  • Integration with Rehabilitation Protocols: Provides data export for integration with cardiopulmonary rehab software, enabling clinicians to tailor exercise prescriptions based on 6MWT performance.

Sleep Study Capabilities

  • Nocturnal Monitoring: Supports overnight data collection for up to 72 hours, capturing SpO2, pulse rate, EtCO2, and respiration rate to diagnose sleep apnea, hypopnea, and other respiratory disorders.
  • Event Detection and Analysis: Automatically identifies apnea (cessation of breathing >10 seconds), hypopnea (SpO2 drop ≥3% with reduced airflow), and desaturation events (e.g., SpO2 < 90%) with customizable thresholds for severity classification.
  • Sleep-Specific Reports: Generates detailed Sleep Study Reports with oxygen desaturation index (ODI), apnea-hypopnea index (AHI) estimates, and time spent below SpO2 thresholds (e.g., <88%), presented in graphical and tabular formats.
  • High-Resolution Data: Records data at 1-second intervals for precise tracking of transient events, with adjustable sampling rates (1, 2, or 4 seconds) to balance resolution and storage needs.
  • Patient Database Management: Organizes sleep study data by patient ID, date, or study duration, enabling longitudinal analysis of sleep patterns across multiple nights.
  • Integration with Polysomnography: Exports data in ASCII format for compatibility with polysomnography systems, facilitating comprehensive sleep lab workflows.

Product Highlights

  • Comprehensive Data Analysis: Processes SpO2, pulse rate, EtCO2, and respiration rate with statistical summaries (mean, min, max, standard deviation) for 6MWT and sleep studies.
  • Intuitive Interface: Features a Windows-based GUI with drag-and-drop functionality, multi-language support, and context-sensitive help for efficient operation.

Software works. Takes some time to learn it.
No problems in installing NVision 6.4 to my Dell DCCY1F 3GHz x64 running Windows 10 Pro.Software, like NVision, installed in a computer is the only way to read the memory of the oximeter. NVision manages to get a lot of information from the oximeter (mine is a Nonin 7500). The program itself does not make things easy to figure out. The only "Tutorial" it provides is intended for patients,

NONIN NVISION PULSE OXIMETRY SOFTWARE
I purchased the product and paid $15.49 extra to have it delivered by USP to my door instead of to my mail box which is a cluster box 5 miles from my house. Instead of getting what I paid extra for it was shipped to my mail box which required me to wait for 2 1/2 hours for the mail man to avoid a 30 mile trip to the post office to pick it up.
